Finally

This blog was done for two main reasons. One, to memoralize the experience for the scouts. The other reason was to expose our community to scouting. We ran ads on TV and on the Channel 41 classified channel. KSPN also did a story on the News. Does a summer Boy Scout camp need this type of exposure? It does if you are trying to grow.
While all boys might not be interested in Scouting, quite a few are if they are exposed to program. The Boy Scouts have been successful because they appeal to the interests of young boys (Cub Scouts) and older boys.
Our continuing efforts this year will focus on the following:
1) Enlisting and Training Adult Volunteers.
2) Increasing the exposure of Scouting to the general public.
3) Signing up Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for the existing Packs and Troops.

In the coming weeks and months you will see ads asking for help with the Marianas Boy Scouts. Please don't tune this out. You do not need to know how to camp out or make a fire with two sticks to help with the scouting program. Anyone with the desire and committement to help can find their place in the program.

In closing out this blog, I am looking forward to the next one! We hope that this year sees the Marianas Boy Scouts successful in all it's endeavors.
